I'm Terrell. I make ads for businesses that sell something — products, programmes, services. The brief is never "make it look good", it's make someone watch long enough to buy.
I came to editing sideways. I was trying to run a marketing agency, made spec ads to win clients, and found I was better at the ads than the agency. That order matters: I learned what a video is for before I learned how to make one.
Self-taught throughout. My early edits passed a million views before I owned a laptop, which taught me that pacing and sound are decisions rather than features. These days that runs through After Effects, Premiere and Blender.
